Pandalocity Oekaki

Welcome to Pandalocity Oekaki Main Board!

This board, called the Pandain Board, is where you should draw pictures with effort. Here are some guidelines you should try to follow.

- Spend at least 20 minutes on your picture. Any less wouldn't really be your very best, now would it?

- Put in a background. That plain white looks bad.

- Shading is always good. And not just throwing on some darker shades, make it look realistically placed.

Remember, unless you need it, don't use animation!

Note- To those trying out for Pro, safety save your tryouts until done. No critiques until picture is done!

If you just want to Doodle and such, go to the Doodle Board, or Pandoodle so you won't get your head ripped off.

Don't forget to spread news of this oekaki all over! We want to make it active!

felt like posting here for once, instead of flooding the Doodle Board.

Not too happy with this, but if I am gonna draw all the Pokemon, I'm gonna have to accept some bad pictures.

Lightsource: a hotter star closer to Tsubasa that would have taken center stage had I drawn it. and.. darn it me for taking so long to finish D:

But I know what you're saying. You get all far into a picture and it ends up not so great.

This looks cool so far. I especially like the earth in the background!

I kinda wish that more people were on this oekaki to see your art though. ;o;

Oooh, I likey the shading so far. It's looking really nice. But I can't really see the lightsource since there's no background yet, so... Time will tellll. I think the earth needs more definition and shading though... but it's still a wip, so... yup!

I'm gonna have to say no. For one, there is minimal shading, in fact, I can only see one instant where there is. Also, the lines are very shaky and I makes the Houndoom look like it has jelly legs. It would have been better if you had tried ot anchor Houndoom to the background, Also I see many white spots and the background looks very rushed.

You can practice on the Doodle Board and the then try again in two weeks.

Other than that, it is a nice picture, but you should add more shading for it too fit Main Board standards.

Crits: The anatomy could use some work. Bulba pretty much said most of what I was going to say, but some shadows underneath the houndoom at an angle that fits the light of the moon, along with highlighting would have been nice aswell.

It is a nice picture though.

Ok... well, first of all... The wolf's snout and head are too long and the eye is too far up ^__^;; The ears also shouldn't go straight back like that.. unless the animal is scared, but it's hard to tell. The wolf is very skinny, too. The hind legs are very thin, just like the body. Try looking at a wolf reference next time ^__^;; the top of hind legs have a more circular, round shape to them.

Also, the tail wouldn't be able to flip over the top of the picture like that.
The grass could also use more definition... and skies aren't striped : P

I don't know what else to say... It's a nice try, but next time try googling up a reference : D
